My friend and I have made a petition for an international day comemmorating the death of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper. It will be celebrated by speaking in interpretive poetry (ie. nonsensical blabber).

Who can we contact to make it an actual international day?

3 February 1959 - the day the music died

Just like Eddie Cochran suggested, you should take your problem to the United Nations. What's more, it looks like 3rd February is available! That'll be the day.
