I think Sheva is a great player, but his best years are already in the past. Plus he belongs to Italy, to Milan.

Shevchenko is no doubt a world-class player, but moving from Milan might just have pushed him out of his comfort zone a little. The pace of the EPL has proved difficult for other world-class players such as Veron and Crespo to adapt to, and Shevchenko is no exception in this case.
Chelsea definitely overpaid for Shevchenko, but if they manage to win the Champions League this season that purchase would have been justified. Also, his arrival has had a tremendous impact on the current form of Drogba, so maybe Chelsea are reaping the benefits in alternate forms.
The jury is still out though.

i dont think it was a mistake made by chelsea in buying sheva and its a little bit to early to start jumping to conclusion sheva without a doubt is a world class finisher and needs more time to adapt to the style of play in england.we must remember now that all the attention and pressure is on him now so he needs time to shake off all the critics. its not easy coming from the italian league where the style of football is different from that of the english league if we can recall drogba was in this same situation some coupple of seasons back so ithink sheva should be given a chance.

i think of so...I recommend he went from great celeb at Ac Milan to being Drogba's leave out-firing shadow at Chelsea. this sort of soccer is so distinctive at Chelsea and that i'm commencing to doubt if Shevchenko is ever going to evolve. it is been something like 8 or 9 suits and not applying a purpose...that isn't the Shevchenko all of us comprehend and love...and it is definitely no longer the Shevchenko Mourinho bought. i could desire to declare that I do experience very sorry for him on the 2nd. i've got not got self assurance that he's any much less of a participant, i think of he won't be able to flourish at Chelsea. He basically seems so dejected after a shot at purpose...I basically % to offer him a hug and tell him that it is going to artwork out. i've got self assurance it is going to artwork out because of the fact in spite of his recent performances (or lack there of) he continues to be immensely gifted...

shevchenko was the most attractive player in Milan, as he has changed his club to Chelsea, it doesn't mean that he has finished, talent or class doesnt finish in a second, if if if God take back your legs :D. i think every player need time to settle in different playing conditions, although he has taken a bit long to settle but surely he will be a dominating personality in English premier league just like my favorite player thierry henry

He's getting there. He will be scoring in no time, believe me. Sheva was great tonight, he made a lot of great crosses, helped his team out a lot, and had lots of good chances to score. If he goes on like this, he'll be back to scoring.
