Look in your phone book for a community health or public health listing. They usually have a sliding fee scale based on your income. You can receive good quality care however, sometimes you have to wait longer for an appointment. Additionally, Planned Parenthood offers a low or no cost program for annual exams and birth control.

There are some doctors and clinics that have a sliding fee scale. This means they charge you according to your income and household size. My doctor does this, and until my health coverage began my visits were $5. This was recently. My income was really low. Sometimes the fee might be $20-$25.

Try a clinic and if you decide not to the next best thing is a medical student.

A free clinic is about it. But you have to prove that you can not pay to do so.

YOU COULD GO TO WEB MD AND ASK QUESTIONS OF REAL DOCTORS AND THEY CAN GET YOU STARTED.
