I did a search on Yahoo! Answers to see all possible answers. I've already cleared cache and history. I've tried the CCleaner that was suggested a few times. Now I don't know what else to do. I have an -insane- amount of livejournal, youtube, geocities, ebay, and so many other urls that are STILL somehow appearing when I begin typing in the address bar. I could type any letter in my address bar and urls I have visited from over a year ago still appear in my history. I don't have any bookmarks that would lead back to any of these urls. I just wish I knew where these urls are still being stored if I've cleared everything.

PurgeIE

I thought I'd never stop seeing notmail after I pressed 'n'. I only went to notmail once because I mistyped hotmail. PurgeIE will clear all urls that are still mysteriously showing up even if you've tried everything.

browsers usually record two types of urls:

the ones you specifically type in the address bar and
the ones you visited through browsing by clicking on hyperlinks on webpages (it will be obvious because these have the longest of urls)

when cleaning the addresses most cleaners only clean the first ones. they leave out the others so when you type an address similar to the ones uncleared, they will still appear in the dropdown bar.

there are softwares though separate from the browsers that cleans the other miscellaneous urls as well.

In IE, click Tools- Internet Options - Clear History.
This takes care of your entire history and clears the address bar, too.

Well... you could try again Tools-Internet Options-General-Delete Files [delete all offline content should be checked]. If you say you tryed that again... Don't know... But if you still have website adresses that you visited 1 yr ago... you should reinstall your OS... You might have viruses 2. Good luck!
