My baby is 3 months and I dont have time to Breast feed her throughtout the day. I do pump at work around the same time each day. I'm only getting about 2 oz. Should I stop feeding her the milk and also if I use Fenugreek will this make me have more milk?
Since her birth I have not pumped out no more than 3 oz but this week it seems like only 1 oz.

As it is so much easier for a baby to get milk from a bottle there are many babies who start to refuse the breast if given too many bottles. Breastmilk is absolutely the best thing for your baby so try to stick with it though! I found expressing my milk by hand to be even better than the pump, and that I had to really think about my girl in order to get enough out for a bottle. Helps with let-down if you do that.

Fenugreek is suppose to be the miracle drug for nursing mothers, so definitely worth a try. It can greatly increase your supply in a matter or a few days, but you need to stimulate them by nursing your baby or using a pump frequently (nursing directly is MUCH more efficient so try to do that as much as you can). How often are you pumping at work? Try to fit in 15 minutes at least several times at work, the more often the better if work allows it. Otherwise your supply could greatly suffer. I believe it is a requirement by law to allow you breaks to pump (it is here in Europe but I'm not sure in US)
Good luck!
P.S. Don't give cow milk to a child younger than 12 mths. Before 1 yr it must be either breastmilk or formula.

The breast milk is a supply and demand kind of deal the more you pump the more you will have. I had a hard time getting my baby on the breast but in the end it was well worth it, she was breastfed 14 mo, not one ounce of formula from the day she came home and luckily for me she has been a very healthy toddler. You need to take 10 minute breaks every 2-3 hrs and pump most companies are ok with it.

I would check with your doctor about the Fenugreek. The less your baby nurses, the less milk you'll make, even if you're pumping, And the bottle's nipple is easier for the baby to get milk out of than yours, so she will want the bottle more. My daughter was the same way. So keep pumping as much as possible, until you just can't anymore. Good luck!

Your milk supply is diminishing which means if you want to continue breastfeeding or just pumping and giving through a bottle so the baby still gets breast milk, you need to start pumping more often to bring your supply back up the more you pump the more your body will make.

you need to pump more often. the more you pump the more milk you will produce. your milk production is based on supply and demand. if the demand is low (you aren't pumping much) then the supply will be low (you won't produce a lot of milk).

this is the biggest problem that working mothers have, then they wind up having to supplement with formula.

my problem was the exact opposite. when my breast would get full i would pump that way i wouldn't become engorged. but then i started producing a lot of milk, because my body thought that the baby was eating that much. i didn't know what to do so i kept pumping. when my baby was a month and a half i could pump 4 oz. from my left breast. i finally talked to my OB about it and he said "quit pumping" like duh. the more you pump the more you will produce.

ah the joy. if you want to continue you need to pump yourself every 3 hrs.you have to bring in the supply.my daughter wouldnt take my breast so i pump and gave up about 4 mths into it. it began aggrivating me and i would sweat and my boobies would bleed.your on the right track just need to do it more often.i ended up giving her what i could and supplement the rest. shes still getting the important nutrients she needs from the breast milk.
i never heard of fenugreek. but im sure you will get alot of advise on this subject.anyway mommy congradulations

if you use the pump you will get more and more yield as time passes. there are benefits for your baby to take your milk. the baby must learn to take your milk,be patient and its ok to give by bottle. in the end,do the best you can. if it doesnt work out,its ok.

It sounds like your milk is drying up and what you eat or drink or take does make a different.
You may need to talk with the doctor concerning this.

I would continue breastfeeding if you can even if you have to supplement a little formula with the breastmilk. just be sure to talk to the doctor first about everything.
