maybe if OU was better, he'd make an effort to come back. But, OU isn't going to play for the Big XII championship and won't go to a decent bowl game. Peterson will stay out, rehab, and declare for the draft as soon as the season is over.

Why would he risk another injury?
He'll go into the draft next year as a possible #1 pick. He stands to gain millions. Why would he jeopardize that and take a chance on suffering a career ending injury playing for OU? Especially given the fact that they are out of consideration for the championship game!
Makes no sense.

Ditto Sarah
Why? So he can go play in the Alamo Bowl? They're done, does he want to risk his draft position? He has no quarterback protecting him. Every team they play will stick 8 men in the box and shut him down and possibly risk more injury. Doesn't sound very smart, of course if he was that intelligent he would have never jumped the river for college.

its dumb, there is no reason to come back their season is basically over there is no bcs in their future and he will possibly get hurt again and hurt his draft position, its time to stop thinking about OU and start thinking about A.D.

THAT WOULD HAVE TO GO DOWN AS ONE OF THE DUMBEST THINGS A COLLEGE PLAYER EVER DID. ONE GOOD WHACK ON THAT SHOULDER BEFORE IT IS TOTALLY HEALED, AND IT COULD JEOPARDIZE HIS CAREER.
