Did you really expect her to? An issue like that should be face to face and or on the telephone. Text is so impersonal, I think you should have done it in a more mature way. What do you think? I would not have answered that myself. You gave no reasons, to your mother for this behavior. It is time to grow up...

You probably just hurt her feelings, and she doesn't know what to say. She brought you in this world, and now you are chewing her a new one.
Talk it out, there might be another way to solve your problem.
