Yes, I do. I even comment on the other answers in compliments if I think that someone else might have had a better answer then I was able to give.

It's not wrong to be polite & to say thank you, in fact it's a nice gesture as far as etiquette goes. With all the questions that go to voting, I think it's only right to drop a comment when a questioner takes time to choose a best answer.
