No, and although I don't support Bush, I don't think that he should. It's too late. The big mistake I saw was in his foreign policy related to those three countries, not in what names he called them.
The world knows those countries are reprehensible. I think that would have been a better thing to say than "evil". Evil goes to the core and can't be removed. An apology will not change that from North Korea, Iran, or Iraq's perspective.
Think of the conotations of that word. You cannot deal with evil, you can only destroy it. That appears to be Bush's wish. And that's what the rest of the world thinks right now, Bush wants a war and an apology won't change the rest of the world's opinion either.

Axis of Evil:
Iraq - continually defied the will of the UN and numerous resolutions.
North Korea - building and testing nukes. Has called UN sanctions and act of war and is making veiled threats about their use by saying we are a nuclear state and we will not tolerate it. Again defying the will of UN.
Iran - continues to enrich uranium and threatening action and possible regional instability if sanctions are imposed. Defying the will of the UN.
In every case it appears to me that Mr. Bush was correct in his assessment. If the world doesn't want to respect the United States sobeit. It's lip service at best, because I don't see any of these countries that claim to hate us refusing to take our money or cutting off trade. No, Mr. Bush should not apologize for speaking factually about these countries.

No worry about that happening. An attitude adjustment, and speaking the truth could help. The problem here is that the old saying has been ignored by bush and his compadrees. "Stay close to your friends and even closer to your enemy's.History will reveal that "No bush is an island" especially when you are dealing with the future of the whole world.

Sure it would help the U.S.A. stem the flow of rumor about us being imperialist but as far as how the country's known as the axis of evil would perceive us will be critical to all our future interaction with that particular country.
If we show that we will back down,NK will probably have a desk in US embassy ambassadors office. And I'm afraid the Iranian government would look at it as an act of humility deserving of the finest death!

2 of the three international locations on Bush's record are in truth state sponsors of terrorism. There are some extra, yet Iran and North Korea certainly might want to be accused of those issues. you are able to also contain Syria, The Sudan, before Libya (and they nevertheless might want to be for all i comprehend) and some others. What supplies us the right in this united states? We do. this is in difficulty-free words our record. this is no longer a UN document. this is no longer global regulation. this is our united states's record. yet, as I sit down and variety those words and picture about it, we in the U. S. are presently the in difficulty-free words authentic superpower left. and folk nevertheless seem to the U. S. for preparation and administration. And we decrease back up what we are saying we are able to do (truly some the time besides) and also you would possibly want to not in any respect locate us attacking a united states that wasn't already a thugocracy, even Iraq. Be that because it would want to, you're accurate in declaring that the U. S. is hegemonous, yet who else even bothers to apply their military to a minimum of attempt to help clean up some places? We do. we don't love bullies, and also you are able to't even initiate to say that we are bullies. we are presently very inaccurate by technique of a retarded chief, yet we are no longer continually like that. Who ponies up the troops? We do. Who supplies money to international locations that a minimum of pretend to be democracies once in a lengthy time period? We do. lets do a lot extra, yet we commonly do more advantageous than the different united states in the international. we do not want different international locations to call us Messiah. What the hell is that, besides? we opt to call the finished international "buddy" and "business enterprise significant different". truly some international locations on earth are governed by technique of authentic thugs and murderers. initiate pointing at them. no longer the U. S.. the U. S. has carried out extra solid in this international than the different united states for the previous century. probable extra, somewhat.

The fact is, those countries he referred to as axis of evil have been our enemy's for a long, long time. N.Korea has been our enemy since 1950. They have been a constant irritant ever since. Iran has been our enemy at least since 1979, obviously they aren't newcomers, either.
President Bush is just telling it the way it is. These two country's have ratcheted up their ambitions of acquiring nukes and GWB called them out. It appears to me, this president isn't afraid to tell it the way it is. The sweet talking of the previous administration did us no good and probably lost us a lot of time and security.

I hate Bush but we shouldn't apologize to anyone. They can go to hell.
Even I agree that those countries he called the Axis of Evil are crooked and need a slap.

No, that would help the situation about as much as it would help our situation in Iraq is Bush were to appologise for sending unqualified conservatives instead of experts to Iraq to rebuild the country. So many of our troops have probably been killed because of that bad move.

I really don't care for Bush, but because he is our president, I do stand up for him and I think he should push harder and stop all this B.S. going on in the world, tell NK to build tractors and farm equipment and feed its people, instead of bombs or get bombed
