Our boss is leaving us after several years. He is a chef, going into a new career. What is an appropriate present? We are a very close knit group, and sad to see him leave.

a photograph or two of you all in the kitchens, perhaps bring in a professional photographer (a customer?) to take them.

A really nice day planner. Could be electronic or leather cased schedule keeper with a really nice pen set. That's what I received when I left my last job. They hoped it would bring me luck and organization in my new career.
