Hey!
First of al check whether ur motherboard supports 2gigs of Ram. Then, let me tell you that adding RAM will not do wonders to ur gaming. It will speed up ur CPU as a whole and there of course will be a noticeable change in graphic performance. When you have so much of RAM, you can share it with ur video card ie incresing ur card's vram by sharing or dedicating some of ur RAM to the card. U can do this with the help of BIOS. Since I know little of ATI, I cant tell u how.
For best results thoguh, try upgrading ur graphics card. You can try those that come with 512 MB of GDDR3 memory. Again, u need to check whether ur motherboard will support it or not. SInce u havent mentioned it, i cannot tell if it will or not.

It depends on the game. If the game doesn't require much ram, then it won't make a difference. Most games are great with 1gb, but some require 2 gb for the best performance. Those games you mentioned are probably not going to be much better with more ram, but if you play battlefield 2, or Half-Life 2 you need 2gb or ram.

I play the same games, with only 512 ram.... It's true, not at max quality... Anyway adding more ram memory will make your computer work faster and load applications faster, but i don't thing it will give you more fps... The video card is more important here and your video card is ok. 2gb of ram thought sounds good :P! Hope this helped you a little....

If the graphics card requires a 270w PS then if you play a game it will either freeze the computer of overload the PS(be careful, if this hapends you can fry your processor, ram, and hard drive!!!).

you might get a few more fps, but the best idea would be to upgrade the graphics card since that card you have is getting rather old these days. and u will notice a massive difference.

Yes, increasing ram will increase your Frames Per Second (FPS). Upgrading your video card will also increase your FPS.

first check to make sure you moterboard will handle 2 gig. Adding more memory won't make your fps jump anyhigher, but it will lower the amount of times you pause during play to load items from your harddrive to your memory.

It depends on the game. If the hard drive light is constantly on while you play then yes.
