I'd be avoiding those situations as much as possible. If the area you live in is always like that maybe you should move to a smaller town or a less stressful environment. If this is not possible talk to a doctor about your medical options to help you cope with all of this. There are small towns that are somewhat peaceful like the place I live. I live in a fairly mellow, quiet town of about 2000 people, (except for tourist season). Try it you may be able to settle in and give your nerves a rest.

First and foremost, you need to calm down. Like you said before, it runs in your family. With that being said, it shouldn't upset you knowing that it is genetic. Secondly, I have the same problem and I am quite certain that we are not related to one another. You need to try to relax so that your nerves are calm. Trust me you don't need to have an anxiety attack. Also known as a panic attack. This condition that you have is very common. So there is no need for you to feel different. What you need to do is go talk to your doctor about possibly taking some medication for this or see if he/she has any other options for you that will help. Good Luck to you.

To me it sounds like some kind of sensory integration disorder. Similar to that found in autism. I have an autistic son who used to have this problem big time. He's 5 now and is somewhat better, although still does not like crowds and noisy places. Perhaps see an occupational therapist (OT), may be covered by medicaid if you can get your physician to prescribe it. Try Methyl-B12 supplements / shots / nasal spray. Try folinic acid supplement or "super nu-thera from kirkman labs. Try gluten free, casein free diet (difficult to do). Look on autism web sites for other possible treatments (there are dozens).

I suffer from agoraphobia and other social anxiety disorders. It's very stressful, I know. I can totally relate. I don't know if your insurance covers you on this but I would suggest you talk to your regular doctor about this. Be careful though. There is a lot of "pre-existing conditions" laws so you may want to ask him unofficially what you should do.

This is most likely a situation best suited for psychiatric help.
Some people can have over sensitive senses that can cause them to react unusually to normal stimilus.
But your description of your problems sounds like you need to sit down and make some serious examinations of your self with a counselor.

it sounds like you have social anxiety disorder. do see your primary doctor first, and he or she can direct you to the right specialist. don't feel alone, thousands of people have the very same issues, and there are lots of ways to get help. if money is an issue, check out local resources for support groups and government-funded organizations that would love to help you. hang in there, you'll be ok!! :)
