In the UK yes. I have a DVB stick - just a small tuner that plugs in to my USB port and I get around 40 channels of Freeview. It's best to tune them in with it connected to a good aerial like a mast aerial - but after that it will work with the tiny aerial provided. Mine has a magent in the base and i watch movies on film 4 in bed! You can also time shift and record and burn to DVD. Time shift is continous recording so you can pause the program or movie and start again where you left off if you need to go to the bathroom! Try Maplin and Aria - they both have them for less than £40.

Well, you can always do the obvious (and mundane) or using a tv tuner card as suggested. But there is another alternative!
Buy a Sling Media box. Plug this into your home network and your cable box. After installing the client on your computer, you can watch your TV on your computer screen, change channels, watch recorded programs if your cable box is a DVR, etc etc.
If your computer is a laptop with wireless - - - well, you can watch TV all over the place!

Simply yes you can depending on the spec of your computer. You will also require a card to insert into the PCMCIA slot and some software. I have just bought a new lap top with a PC card but just realised that I cant get freeview in my local area...Another lesson to learn but check your post code on freeview.com to see whether you can. Alt you can get analogue but don't know if any good and being phased out..

If you have the right video/graphics card on your computer, you can. If not, go to best buy, get one, install it in your computer and hook up your TV on it. As for instructions how to do it, go to this URL,

It more than just possible in Korea...I see storeowners watching TV on their computers all the time. I wish I could tell you how they do it...
I'd say check with your internet provider and ask them.
