I am a certified animal sports massage therapist. My clients are mostly horses or dogs.

I work for myself, set my own schedule, make $55-75/per hour (depending on the species), and alleviate suffering in animals.

If you would like info on training for this type of career, e-mail me through Yahoo!Answers.

I work as a groom for racehorses at a racetrack. I get paid $350 a week to care 4-5 horses a day. I work 7 days a week. From 6 am to 12 pm sometimes I get done earlier. Race days I work all day if I have to run a horse or horses with an hour or so off for lunchb. Other wise I have 12 pm until 4:30 pm off. I come back at 4:30 pm until 5:30 pm to do feed chores. I am a Vet Tech at a non profit,low-kill shelter that deals mostly with cats. I do not get paid a lot...$15/hour, but I only work part-time and set most of my own hours. I do get some "fringe" benefits though, like getting heartworm and flea medication at cost.
It is a pretty great job, other than having to euthanize sick and unadoptable animals.
