can someone give me step by step instructions on how to find out which type of graphics card is running please?

the simplest way to do this is by right clicking on your desktop...clicking properties...going to the settings tab...clicking on the advanced button....and then clicking on the adapter tab...

if you wanna take another approach...go to start..click on run...type in dxdiag (must have directx installed)...and then a window will pop up with alot of information about your video card...but i suggest method 1 cause its easy

Turn off your computer, open your case, and look at your graphic card. The graphic card will be 'plugged into' the motherboard. It will be the smaller of the 2.

On the graphic card there may be a direct name, or something you can use to find out exactly what you have. Look for a version number and brand.. or some sort of serial number and look it up on the "brandname's" website.

Good day. Go to the desktop. Right click on My computer and click the hardware tab. Then click device manager. Under the display topics, click the + sign and u will see the information. Laterz.

if you're using windows xp, make a right clic on My Computer, properties, hardware tag, then Device Manager, and the one that says Display Adapter is the video card that you're using ok

In your control panel go to system, then hardware, then device manager, then click display adapters to see what your graphics card is.

right click the my computer icon, either on the desktop or on the start menu and click the hardware tab at the top then click devise manager. then then double click display adapters icon(its near the top) all of these directions are if you have windows xp.

do NOT open your case if you are not familar with computers. don't listen to leiter_1

you can right click on "my computer" go to "manage", go to "device manager" and look for display adapters, see what it says there. You can also make note of your make and model# of your PC and check the manufacturers website.

right click onfree place on your desktop,
click on properties.
you see the type of your video card.
