Both myself and my partner have been using this site , to try and reslove our issuses. However, I've been using it to try new things. As with everything there is 2 sides to a story, and although most advice is helpful, some are not. The question cannot be complete and only " snap shot " of the issuse is given therefore only half the question is answered. The " debates " that me and my parnter have over this has not helped our situation. As some points in the answer are biased. Does anyone else feel the same?, what are your points on this. And yes I understand that the advice is just that, as its not from a professionial

I think you should count yourself lucky. If you've got enough time to spend thinking about an issue such as this then your real issues with your partner aren't that bad.

i have asked some really serious questions on here that maybe i should of asked a professional as well but i found that this site does help. the end of the day everyone is different, this site will help some and then not help others and i do agree that there are some people on this site that answer your questions and make you feel worse.

It all depends on the question. Most people give 10% of the thought, and want back a 100% answer, some questions are down right silly, some only need a yea or a no, and my favourite Ask them. But serious questions I try to answer as much as possible, I admit lately I have been to judgemental and have got my hand slapped, So I do try to give an honest answer to those that appear to be sincere

I think you answered you question yourself. This site is here for people to give their opinion nothing more. I don't think really people come to this site to solve life long problems. I think they come here moreso to find people who can relate. I suggest that if you really want to get answers or to find like people who have gone or are going through something you are going to this may not be the site. The alternative? Chatrooms will get you mostly the same unless you go into chatroom that are controlled and monitored. I wish you luck with any issues you are having and I hope you find the right people to help you in your journey to happiness.
Take care,
hippy

It may help to ask people on this site, but probably not. Some people give no thought to their replies at all. Certainly if i had to resolve issues with my partner i wouldnt be asking questions on this site - not if they were relationship issues anyway.

We all search for advice on many different things, but we have to stop and ask ourselves what the problem truelly is.This site does not solve our problems, only gives you suggestions. We don't know the whole story.Maybe you should be talking to each other ,rather than the people on Yahoo Answers. Best of Life.

You know, what struck me about your question was the comment that you and your partner use this site to try to resolve your issues. I try not to give advice, per se, as everyone has had different experiences and there is no "one size fits all" answer to any issue........especially in relationships. Maybe instead of you and your partner debating issues, perceived or real, over this site you might benefit from honest face to face, non accusatory conversation. My experience is that, especially over this medium, sometimes the "intent" of the message is misread by the reader, and that in itself can cause further "issues".

Everyone answers according to their own experience, culture and the whole package. But I do think it is helpful as a sounding board. Often feel that the person asking kind of knows what they want to do but just wantsto feel it is the only option. Always good to share.....and sometimes annonymous is best.
