Tough question! The Tigers might be a completely different team after having a week off. It is hard to take a week off of fierce competition and then turn it up again.

I say, NO, the Tigers will take care of business in no more than 5 games, reguardless of who wins the NL. They are a well balanced team and 1-9 in the line-up are very unselfish and willing to play small ball to win a game.

Every body beat the tigers in September.. Cardinals were the best in baseball until the the injuries, and are still hurting a little. If Pulos does better with his leg by next week he can win series himself. No player ever has done what he has done in his first six years in the entire history of baseball.

(B) NO

Tigers are unstoppable. I (now) think they will be playing the Cards. Both managers are good friends, Leyland was a major league scout for six years for the St. Louis Cardinals before become the Tigers manager. So, he can take a little credit for both teams going to the WS. Both managers are two of the best, it is going to be great to watch the two team play.

A. Yes. Of course, in a seven game series, even the worst team might have a hot streak and beat the best team.
