One of my aunts got pregnant shortly after having her tubes tied.
The unfortunate part is that the egg settled in her fallopian tube. She had to get an abortion, and that tube removed. The doctor said it was extremely rare when that happens.

Normally, no. In rare instances when a lap tubal is done, the ligature bands can come undone, and if the tubes heal particularly well, pregnancy is possible, but very unlikely. In at least one case i know of, a lady had an incredible third ovary and tube hidden behind the uterus and did get pregnant, but thats one in 1.5 million. In the case of tubalectomy, where a portion of the tube is removed and the ends cauterized and ligated, pregnancy is basically impossible, and not likely even after costly reconstructive surgery. If you have had a tubalectomy, or tubal ligation you most likely will never have any reason to worry about pregnancy.

Yes you can. If your tubes are tied, burned, and clipped then that's out of the question. Your tubes can come aloose if only tied.

Yes, if your tubes are not cut and burned and they are just tied it is possible .01% chance to get pregnant.

The failure rate for tubal ligation is very, very small, but it does happen. Unfortunately, conception after a tubal has an increased chance of resulting in an ectopic pregnancy.

They tell you that its 99.8% effective or something like it, but there's always a chance. It has happened, unfortunately it's usually a tubal pregnancy which means it's not successful. I couldn't imagine it, you get it done so you won't have anymore kids.

no, thats why you get them tied, so you cant have babies anymore.

Once in a GREAT while, shortly after having the procedure, there is so little scar tissue that an egg might escape.

But its highly incredibly unlikely.

Nowadays, I would have to say thats a very very slim chance, but that is how my mom and one of my aunts are here today, lol. They were both 'uh-oh's or 'how did that happen?" lol
