I've already been using flylady.net but as much help as she has been I just can't seem to get it right. I'm not lazy. I'm tired. I have 4 kids, 4 dogs, a rabbit and a husband that WON'T Help. My oldest child helps a lot, maybe too much. He is supossed to be the kid and I don't want him to have too much responsibility. Help!

I have the same problem. I am just so tired. It's depression. I take medication for depression and it helps a lot but I can't seem to get past the cleaning thing. My husband helps me all of the time. One trouble is that I like everything to be spotless and I can't keep up with my own expectations so I end up failing every day so I end up not doing anything. It's all too much sometimes. I have anxiety attacks when I start anything because I don't know where to put something or it suddenly seems like too much...I need help too.

there must be one place in the house you would love to see clean ... you jewellery box? Your makeup stash?
You may even long to see the bottom of the laundry basket (I do!!)

Give yourself some rewards to work towards ... if you clean the bathroom you can buy a new nailvarnish or lipstick.
If you tidy the kitchen after dinner you can read a magazine or sit in front of the TV for an hour.

Get rid of clutter - stick it in a bag and shove it in the garage ubntil next week that always makes the house look and feel better

And my biggest motivater ... get out your digital camera and take a picture of each room ... now look at that room!!! Aaagh! thats what everyone else sees every day!! We tend to overlook curtains that are falling down or piles of mail. Pictures never lie!!

yes I had this problem a long time ago. what I did was go on strike. when one of the kids asked me where his uniform was I said I did't wear it he went to his room and found it right were he left it all balled up and dirty He came back out and said mom I can't wear this to the game and I told him too bad your uniform did't have feet to gett to the laundry room. This really works to get things rolling, when someone asks what for dinner you say: what did you make for us you won't believe the look on their faces, its great.
