If you dont' want to completely remove it but just turn it off, go to your browser Tools, then select Manage Add-ons. A dialog box will appear with a list of all currently used Add-ons your browser is using. Scroll down the list until you find the Yahoo Toolbar select it by clicking on it them click the Disable button at the bottom of the box. A box will pop up informing you of what you are about to do and that you will need to close and then reopen your browser to make the change, just click OK and and then close and re-open your browser and the Yahoo Toolbar will be gone. You can go back in and enable it at any time you choose.
Good luck and have a great day!

You must uninstall it from the control panel. Choose "Add/Remove" programs, then find the Yahoo! toolbar.

Or you can go to View - Toolbars and i should be listed on there, with a checkmark next to it. If you click on it it should remove it and uncheck it.
