it sends me beyond sadness, when I think of the life they will never have I feel despair.

I would reply of course We care, but after reading some of the written word here on Yahoo Answers, I know that I can not speak for everyone.
Myself and My Family, Yes we care. Know several over there, and several who have served and come home, Thank God.
I wish I knew the answer. The nightly faces of Mothers and Dads on the News, talking about their brave Children, how much They love Them, and how much They will be missed. So many Children that will never have the opportunity to know the greatness of Their Parents. Much like the Children who lost Their Parents on 9/11.
Hatred is a very dangerous emotion. When I see how those of Our own Country can not get along, agree, and even come to the point of hatred. One must wonder how can We ever make Peace with Others, in a Foreign Land, Who we have even bigger differences with. It would be simple to blame this solely on one Man. But it takes more than one to make a battle.
My heart goes out to All of the Fighting Men and Women, Their Families, Friends, and Everyone affected due to Their loss. Three thousand fifty Wonderful People, that encompasses Hundreds of Thousands of grieving souls.
May God Bless Each and Everyone................................
And if anyone has a plan for a different way, Please run for President and implement it, Please........

I also am a vet. To be warned the people with the biggest mouths and opinions have never served. They will mock you as a liberal pig now that you don't agree with the war.
Of course those of us who wore the uniform know what it is like to be under orders. Orders you may not agree with but still go. Hence why there are people in this country that know nothing about duty, orders, defending yet spat at the mouth and compare the deaths 3050 isn't as many as Nam had, or as many people that have been killed in Chicago this year. They have no sense of reality of what is really going on.

I care a great deal and the soldiers in Iraq are in my prayers every night. I wish we could live in a world of peace, but I don't see that happening too soon. My heart goes out to you. You men and women deserve the absolute most respect in the world. To risk your life for the country, indeed, is such an act of bravery. I wish for all of you peace and an end to this horrible war. The loss of lives seems so senseless, especially in Iraq, I don't know if it will ever make a difference. A true shame.

My son is a Marine, and I care. Of course any death should be mourned, but I am grateful that the number of deaths for the amount of time we have been there is low compared to past wars. I wish I could fix all of it. And, I appreciate everything our service men and women do.

It's an absolute tragedy. We need to support the troops by bringing them home. The best way to support someone is by helping them to stay alive! Check out this credible report: 655,000 Iraqi civilians are dead as a result of this illegal war and occupation in Iraq. Check it out, here is the link: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2006/10/12/MNGUTLNP6C1.DTL
I wanted to add a million thanks for your service. My husband went to Iraq to fight, so we got a glimpse of the horrors of war. Fight to fight to end this war. Get out and vote in Nov. Thanks agian for your valor and patriotism.
