My grandma (my mother's mother) died 10 years ago. The other night, my family was at my parent's house for my niece's birthday. While opening gifts, my niece couldn't get a box open and my mom told my sister-in-law to go in the kitchen and get the scissors. My sister-in-law walked back from the kitchen holding scissors that were my grandma's good sewing scissors. My mom said, "Where did you get those?" My sister-in-law said, "They were in the drawer with the scissors. Why?" I think my mom almost passed out while me and my siblings sat there in shock because we all knew they were grandma's good sewing scissors. My grandma was a seamstress for many years and my mom took most of her sewing things when she died. The scissors were packed away in the attic and not easily accecible. How would the scissors get into the drawer in the kitchen? Was my grandma with us that night?

Absolutely! She wanted to let you know that she is still with you and loves you. It was her way of saying hello. She will always be a part of your lives and will watch over you. You may also get those "hellos" from time to time. My dad, a great practical joker, does the same thing. Every now and then, when I am really missing him or very stressed with work, I'll go to get something and can't find it. Even though I know where I put it, it isn't there. I'll start looking around other places and finally give up. A few minutes later, I'll be doing something and find the item right where I thought it was in the first place. Of course, I laugh. Also, now and again, I will smell his aftershave. It makes me feel loved and protected.

Yes I believe it could be. My grandfather died when my mom was only 14. He was a fireman and a sailor in the navy. He died as a result of a car accident on Halloween night of 1978. My mom says every year at 6:00 pm she sees him in his fireman dress uniform because that was when he was buried. When my mom had me and my brother there was a firetruck outside her hospital room both times and her fathers fireman friends brought gifts that were some of his possessions that had resurfaced when he died. A cincinatti reds baseball for my brother and a reds hat for me

There could be a very logical explanation for all of this...
but EVEN if there is, the sight of those scissors brought comfort to all of you...that is what counts:)
All logical possibilities aside, it could be your grandmother who put the scissors in the "right" place. She wanted to let all of you know she is around. They were her "good" scissors, that could be her way of sharing a very important part of herself with you.
Your grandmother is probably around far more then you are aware. She loves all of you, it would make sense that she would want to be near you:)

well it depends if you believe in that kinda of thing me personally i believe I've had way too many things happen that reminded me of deceased relatives to be just accidental. And most of the time you can smell an aroma that would tell yes or no if someone was there.

No way.
There are hundreds of logical ways.
not the same scissors
someone got them down before
your mom took them on purpose to frighten you all
your sister-in-law did a trick on you
go ahead and figure out more.

Yes, i truly believe that our deceased loved ones may visit us to help us out! Kind of like they do on Charmed; of course we don't get to speak to them directly! I believe they watch over us...
