as I am not a devote catholic I can't go deep into details and quote anythin,g but I do know that repentance and paying your pennence as is given to you by a member of the church, this does not exactly cancel out your sins, however it is considered cleansing yourself of your sins.

In pure Christian belief, yes, repentance cancels out sins.

In christian faith, repentance and confession are essential to cancel out your sins, but in particular cases, I think only repentance it's necessary.

Yes, the blood of Christ is enough to cancel out any and every sin. You can only be forgiven of a sin if you're truly regretful. I hope I don't sound like a holy roller, I don't even go to church but this is my belief and hey, you asked.

Yes if your feelings are true. You realize you are wrong. God always forgives as long as it is true. He will know if the repentance is true.
