AC/DC is the best rock band ever. It's all about the rocking. It's not about supermodel girlfriends, mansions, black magic, internal squabbles, or drug problems. Ok, so an alcohol problem here and there, but that's something any blue-collar guy can get around the corner in a real store, not some back alley! Oh, every song they do ROCKS!

Deep Purple- they were one of the first bands to really whale and incorparate melodic hard rock into the scene- listen to Child in Time, Burn, Highway Star- not to mention the first real metal sounding screams that actually are notes and not just screams. YOu can hear their influence in many 80's metal bands plus the band Rainbow came out of them too.
