If your baby is getting the recommend that your baby consume 2 to 3 ounces of formula per pound a day with the maximum of 32 ounces.
You are using a great formula and it has all the vitamins that he needs. Most doctors would not recommend that you give any vitamin supplements because he could get sick by having an excess of certain vitamins and minerals. If he is growing well, I would not worry about.

I am a father of two healthy boys. Your baby is getting plenty for a two month old, and if he's having at least one bowel movement a day, he's doing fine. If the baby is still fussy wanting more food, ask your health care professional about using a small amount (teaspoon or less) of rice cereal to thicken his formula. My youngest is 7 months now and has never taken more than 5 ounces of formula at a time. If your pediatrician says its ok, the rice cereal will make the baby feel fuller, and should have him taking a little longer between meals. I wish you the best with your son, and hope you enjoy parenthood as much as I do. Good luck.

Wow! Your baby eats a lot. I have a 4 1/2 month old and she eats 4oz. every 2 - 3 hours. She only has a bm every 4 to 5 days. The Dr. said that is normal and when she starts eating more she will become more regular.

1-2 bowel movements a day for a 2 month old sounds completely normal to me. I have a 4 month old and she only eats 4 ounces every 3 hours... I'm sure your little one is getting enough :)

What is your problem then - really? He sounds perfectly normal to me. Don't keep switching his food around - you'll create more problems. I had five kids - one boy. He only slept half an hour at a time, and ate every 2 hours. So I was kept busy keeping him entertained while he was awake! But when he was 3 weeks old, he began sleeping 12 hours at night. My daughters were all different too. So don't worry - he's gonna grow up in spite of his mom!!!! lol

Nope your son is fine and a big eater! At least compared to my son who is 10 days shy of 5 months and still only takes 4oz every 2 hours and cereal once a day.

He's doing good! Keep up the good work mommy!

my baby whos now 7 months old, was using similac advanced when we brought him home to the hpospital and we found he was constipated on it, so we switched it to nestle good start. it work just the same and cheaper!!
its good that your babys is drinking that much and as long as hes gaining weight and not loosing it. . .it should be fine.
my baby was always hungry too. . . so we cheated and started him on pablum early when he was 4 months. so you can try that. but otherwise id talk to your pedatricion or a health clinic about it. hope this helps . ..

8 OUNCES?!?

My 8 week old little girl only takes 4 oz every 3 hours. I would say your baby is fine but ask your pediatritian if it is OK to have that much.

Good luck to you :)

I had the same problem with my daughter she was just hungry. Against doctors advise I went to my mom and she told me to put 2 tsp of Rice Cereal in the bottle and that seemed to do it she wasn't as hungry and started sleeping half way through the night.
