If you are going through the United States, you may want to start here:

I know gas prices fluctuate a lot where I am from, so it is rather hard to say.

Hmmm, this is an "Internet" Question?

Try Yahoo Maps. It'll tell you the distance between two points, the density of traffic on that route etc.

Now, you take the average mileage that your car or motorcycle or truck or whatever you're going to use, gives you; then take the average cost of gas and do the simple calculation!

I don't think there can be a site for that because there are too many variable in the question, like kind of vehicle, condition of vehicle etc, which would need to taken into consideration for that.

http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations.aspx?zip=&src=Netx

This site will let you type in a zip code and give you a map to the location as well as gas prices sorted from highest to lowest in the area!
