Those spam emails are sent to every possible name combination: jsmith@yahoo.com, j_smith@yahoo.com, jsmithe@yahoo.com, jasmith@yahoo.com.

Every time you try to have your email address removed, you're letting them know they found a good email address. Just mark 'em spam and delete them.

You should never click on a spam email, that just tells the spammer, that your email address is "live". Then they will sell it to other spammers, or give it to them. When you get an email like that, identify it by marking it as spam. My email program, has a link at the top of the page, where I can click on message to "bounce to sender" or to "block the email address". The best thing you could do now, is to get another email address and start fresh. If you do keep in mind never to open any emails that you are not sure of. I hope this helped you..Good Luck..

The link that says "click here to remove your email from our list" is just a device so they can find out your account is active. All it does is set you up to receive more junk mail.

Some of them are set up so that you cannot get rid of them! That is how I found out my hubby was lookin them up. He ended up getting a virus that slowly started slowing his puter down. Before it got too bad and completely shut down, he went and got the modem blown out for about $25.00 at our local puter shop. Now it runs like new, and the e-mails have slowed faster than the puter did somehow.

don't bother trying. Just mark those as spam.

And try to be careful giving out your email address next time you have a brand new one
