No, it's rude for them to call you with a recording. It's even worse when you pick up the phone and a machine tells you to hold right off. Screw them!

It is a recorded message, recordings don't understand "rude"

Just hang up, or do what I do and hand the phone to my toddler. She loves getting phone calls!

Not when you pay your own phone bill and didn't ask them to call in the first place. Hell I hang up on live telemarketers too.

No, in fact we should call their business's and pretend to be ads constantly so they would get the idea that no one really cares or wants to talk to them.
