I have 06 Honda Odyssey, steering wheel vibrate at 68-70mph. It vibrate a lot when the van increase speed from 65-74mph, but when you decrease from 75 back to 65mph, i don't feed the vibration.
Dealer says need 2 front axels replaced. Do we need to realign the van too? Last time, the mechanic replaced one of the front cv shalf, then 10k miles down the road, the tires not evenly worn out.

Yes, anytime they unbolt things from the front end, it needs to be realigned :)

A 2006 Odyssey should not need front axles (unless they're damaged and/or way over mileage). Who is your dealership? Is it Honda certified?

Any time the components of the drive wheels are tinkered with "yes" an alignment needs to take place.

I have not had good experience with Honda USA and if you are having problems on a 06 Honda check that it is still within the Warranty. Then you may need to be prepared to fight a little.

From my debacle (a 2001 Odyssey with early transmission failure at 64K) I will never own another Honda. They promote themselves on the fact they have "no recalls or very few" compared to Nissan and Toyota. But the reason that they do not have recalls is for the stats not the customer! At least Toyota and Nissan will hold their hands up and inform their customers of their faults and provide assistance to correct them! Honda from my experience will wash their hands of it and now have lost a lifelong customer (I only ever bought Honda's but now have a Toyota!).

It wouldn't be a bad idea. The strut assembly has to be detached from the steering knuckle for the shafts to be removed. If the bolts are not exactly put back in place, it can throw the camber off. It may only be a few degrees, but over 10k miles, you will see signs of wear. Good luck!

Yes if the car vibrates when you'r going high speed it means you need a allignment but it might be the motor mounts since you told us you dont feel anything when you decrease speed. It also might be your tires too.

It sound as though the spring clip on the 0.5 shaft has worn off the the floor groove interior the carrior bearing. At this element an independant transmission shop could desire to chop up the differential to fing the subject. not extra Chrysler products for you! It sounds because it it is had some aspects in her day.

i wouldn't take any chances escpecially if it is that new and under warranty. tell them since they have to break the hub/steering knuckle loose to get the axles out they need to do an alignment.

did you rotate your tires? do you have records of it?

i would see if they have an alignment on record! it not get them to replace the tires if they didn't do an alignment last time.

NO, when you remove the front axles you are not touching any steering adjustments. If the tires are wearing badly the same problem will occur.
