Here's two additional things for you to do that no-one has mentioned:
Download "Crap Cleaner" at www.ccleaner.com
--It's free, and deletes your temp files, cache (both IE and Firefox), URL history, log files, recycle bin, history, run history, download history, and chkdsk file fragments.
In addition, if your mom is an FBI agent or a complete computer Guru, you can run BCWIPE (it's free or shareware, don't remember, it's at http://www.jetico.com/)
--This will wipe all remaining deleted fragents from your drive.Don't bother to run it at D.O.D. standards, just do one quick wipe/pass of free space.
Don't forget to delete these utilities when you're done using them.
Good luck!

First of all empty the internet explorer (or any other browser that you use) cache. Then if you want to delete all the images that are saved on your computer do this:
1. Select all the files that you want to delete.
2. Press Shift + Del key and answer yes when prompted.
NOTE: This process deletes all the selected files without moving them to the recycle bin, so think twice before you delete anything important.

You can just delete them, then go into the delete folder where it will tell you to either restore or delete. Click onto the delete and they'll be gone. But they will always be on your hard drive. I don't know who would try getting them from there, but I know that once they've been deleted from the folder you can't get them back. I know - I've tried when I've deleted pictures by mistake.

From Firefox SHIFT-CTRL-DEL should clear content if you have your settings correct.
empty recycle bin.
If they were downloaded through another mechanism (aka News Groups) you will have to find the download destination folder and delete it and empty the recycle bin.

Shift delete is better. it doesn't go to the recycle bin. If it does and you have recycle bin protection programs, she can pull it back.... If you use Shift delete it doesn't touch RB and won't be recoverable. Also don't let your friend on your PC again.,.... or make a guest account with filters.

There is no way to permanently delete pictures from your hard drive...short of permanently destroying it. Try telling your mom the truth.

There are a lot of good answers already. Don't forget to delete your temp files. Type set at the command prompt to find the location of the temp files.
