My daughter is 11,
11 + 8 = 19
Call the cops...
In your case it depends upon how old your daughter is. If she is under 18, you need to at least meet the older girl. If she is under 16 I would definitely get the authorities involved.
Girls and boys go through a phase in thier life when they are first developing sexually that involves experimentation or fantasies with the gender they are most familiar with.... their own. Its a phase that can last a few days, months, or years. So a "young" daughter thinking she is gay, is more a problem of exposing your child to things that are inappropriate for her age, rather than a gender preference. As a person matures their actual sexual preference will start coming through.
So be concerned not with your daughters sexual preference at this time, but rather of the possibility that a sexual preditor is after her.

If you daughter is over 18 she can do basically whatever she wants and you can't do anything about it. The fact that she is gay, to me at least is totally irrelevant. If she is under 18 (depending on the laws in your state) she can only date someone 5 years older then her otherwise it's statutory rape. If she's over 18 I would say nothing negative it will only push her away, tell her you support her and she can date whoever she likes. More often then not though, she probably won't stay with this person for very long but if you condemn it she stay with her girlfriend longer out of defiance. Tell her that yes, you realize she's gay but that does not change the person she is (only her sexual preference) and she is still your daughter.

Young daughter so she must be under 18,and she is dating someone who is 8 years her senior, call the police your child is being molested. You are responsible for your child's safety until she turns 18 higher age for different states.

How old is your daughter. You would do the same thing you'd do if your daughter was dating a boy 8 yrs. her senior.

If your daughter is under 18, and the other girl is over 18 can you consider that rape like a boy/girl relationship? That may be something to check out. I would think you could. I would sure press charges.

Treat it the same as if she was dating a man 8 years older. You should not hold it against her if she is (or thinks she is ) gay. She may be just experimenting and if you over react it will push her in exactly the opposite direction you'd like her to go.

Call the police & see if there are any charges you can press against this other person. Older gay people make a big deal out of "turning" younger people while they are still confused and they have an agenda of making everyone like them that they can. You need to stop this immediately.

If your daughter told you she was gay then you will need to learn to love her for the person that she is. If she is under 18 then you have a right to say something about who she sees!

I'd treat is the same way as if the older woman were a male. Young girls are not equipped to make any decisions about their sexuality in their early teens. You need to somehow get that woman out of your child's life.
