I would suggest going to a university that has a good aeronautics program unless you want to join the military. In the US services you MUST have 20/20 vision and pass a very difficult series of courses and be at the top of your classes.
Many private flight schools offer a basic flying instruction program. It's not too expensive but at least you can learn to fly the small propeller planes.

Do you have the money it takes to be a pilot. For indians aspirations alone is not the requisite qualification to pursue ur interests, U must have money. Most important If U belong to a upward class, then u must have both.
There is a school in chennai. U can try that. Keep wads of cash.
