I went to a catholic school too. Back then, no one thought it was satanic/bad/sacreligious to have a Halloween party for the kids.

The kids would all change into their costumes after lunch, eat cupcakes and play games. We'd trick-or-treat that night.

Too many people today get really overworked over nothing.

I understand, but I do not celebrate it anymore. I used to celebrate it like 6 years ago, but not anymore. The violence on October 31st has increased extremely. I do not celebrate it because it is like celebrating the day of the devil. I am a Christian and I do not celebrate halloween because of my faith because I do not think it is good to give drugged candy to kids or take them and do something horrible with them, I also don't think it is good at all to be that victim. What is ironic is that I am going to a halloween party this friday. But it is not the same. All we do is get our costumes eat and dance. HOPEFULLY. I don't mind anyone celebrating it as long as they do not harm anyone else. I am going as a show girl LOL not like anyone cares anyway.

Kinda. I enjoy the season. The colors and the costumes. I used to give out candy. Unless you are out in the woods performing sacrificial rites on humans, I don't see anything wrong with it. Just a good excuse for a party. But of course, lots of churches have been against parties, dancing, and T.V. And the bible doesn't mention them either, except for Jesus. He was a party animal!

I celebrate it.

Don't believe whynotaskdon......he doesn't know jackschit about the holiday. Those of us who celebrate Samhain (Sow-en NOT Soween) do not worship the devil/satan or whatever. For us the Christian concept of Satan does not exist. It is the end of harvest and a celebration of a new year. It is also a night when we gather, honor and feast to the memories of loved ones who have passed.

I live in Malta and it's mostly a Catholic country and they have started to celebrate it here, I'm from the UK and we always used to celebrate it, but nowadays they don't have it so much because there are so many ethnic minorities and the authorities are worried about offending them.

Halloween! What is the purpose of this celebration...OH! celebrating.
Celebrating by showing blood
Celebrating by frightening people..Duh "It's fun"
Celebrating by showing head sliced
Celebrating by acting as a boned man, and blood...Duh "it's fun"
now you enjoy it, eh? try the real, feeling of it.
Don't you call that terror,
Hell no, that's the time to enjoy....by kissing and hugging monsters.

one more thing am not a Christian.
