I am doing a Sociology project and I just need some ideas on how prostitution relates to the conflict theory. It is not a research paper, more of a formal opionated paper.
I have found all kinds of ideas for the functionalist and feminist perspective on the web, I am just having a hard time finding the conflict theory.

In sociology, conflict theory states that the society or organization functions so that each individual participant and its groups struggle to maximize their benefits, which inevitably contributes to social change such as changes in politics and revolutions. Prostitution is a way for an individual to maximize their monetary intake (benefit) by selling the thing that have readily, their bodies.
Because this power that individuals have, the government had to come in and outlaw prostitution.

for sure, i do no longer accept as true with with prostitution, yet prostitution is the oldest profession. i think of it nevertheless exists as a results of fact a female could be in an fairly undesirable money subject and turns to making use of her physique to get money. this is unfastened, and you get an excellent form of money out of it.

Okay..am a little lost with the question, by conflict theory do you mean prostitution in war time? Don't mean to be dense and want to help, but conflict theory= doesn't compute to a layperson like myself (lol...no pun intended there...just caught that myself)...

I would structure it as a compare and contrast paper and maybe confine it to just showing how the two support one another....

Does this help? I hope so....
