North Tampa huh..........ok: Apartments to rent - Look on Van Dyke Road off of Dale Mabry for Lake Carlton Arms. (Carrollwood, although it is in the city of Lutz) They are a HUUUUUGE complex - but very safe! They have a security guard 24/7/365. They pay water and basic cable (20 channels). It is near the Veterans Expressway and Dale Mabry Hwy. Those two roads can get you almost anywhere on the west side.
There is another Carlton Arms on Fletcher Avenue - Carlton Arms North - same setup (Mahaffey communities).
There are many things to do in the north Tampa area.
Citrus Park Mall area is ok - getting a little $$$ though....
DO NOT - repeat - DO NOT go below Waters Avenue for a place to live. DO NOT live on Florida or Nebraska Ave!!
DO NOT go to University Square Mall after dark if you are worried about safety. Stay at Citrus Park, or venture down to Westshore or International Mall.
New Tampa/Tampa Palms are nice and safe - $$$$ like Citrus Park area. There are things to do there as well.
Temple Terrace would be okay - but check things out there - some of that part is questionable.
Lutz and Land O'Lakes (suburbs) are fine places to live and they are not far from anything. They are north of Tampa.
Need any further info - do not hesitate to ask - I have been a Tampa resident for 26 years and live alone and feel safe at the Carltons!! I can come home late at 1am from a friends house and know I won't have a problem getting to my apartment.

Wesley Chapel, New Tampa, Seffner, Lutz.
We live in Town N Country, Tampa, FL, west side. Great parks on the Northeast side, Lettuce Lake and Wild wood. Hillsborough County Park, you can canoe there and see the gators close up. I have been quite a few times but my fiance will not go again due to the 6 ft gator swimming under our canoe. He did not like that much.
Ybor city is the nightlife strip if you are a partier but always go with others. Channelside is fun and much nicer.
Fishing piers are open 24 hours in some places. Busch Gardens and Adventure Island is here. Beach is only an hour away. Multi cultured city with alot of history.
Lazer Tag, Bowling, Putt putt, festivals, and oh yes, GASPARILLA!!! Pirates invade Tampa in Febuary, State fair is in Febuary, Strawberry festival is in March in Plant City.
You are only an hour away from Orlando.
Anyway, welcome.

Check out the Insdider Real Estate Blog. It talks about different neighborhoods and gives you an idea of what the market is like.

It really depends on what is important to you. Size or Price. Do you need space? If you want space the further north of Downtown you go Like Carrollwood or New Tampa, the more you will get for the $$. Or would you rather live in the city near restaurants and shopping within walking distance. If so, plan on something smaller for the same price.
You should plan on contacting a realtor as well. They can show you the different areas in town and tell you the pros and cons.
http://www.tampabaydwellings.com is a nice site

You can come and live with me. You will really have fun then. I'm justing kidding, I'm in New York. Go to the Tampa web page or Tampa Chamber of Commerce. You should find info there. I don't know what the sites are but if you type in Tampa Florida you should find both.

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/dOHHk
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.
