I went on depo injections and was advised that you have to stop having it for a year before you can fall pregnant. I was off it for 6 months and I was pregnant, I think it really depends on your body as everyone is an individual. If you don't want to get pregnant then take extra precautions if you come off of it. You never can tell whats going to happen. If your planning for a baby then just keep practicing and have fun!! goodluckxxx

It took me 9 months before my periods returned after my last shot. I've hard it can take as long as a year though. After the 12 weeks are up, definitely, use another form of birth control though.

You should consider it "effective" for another 3 months, then make sure you have another method of birth control lined up!

I got it twice, and period returned around 5 months after the last shot... may be different for everyone.

I didn't get my period back for three years! I could only get pregnant after a year and a half of unprotected sex. I only had one shot.

More than likely if you miss the next shot your body will immediately began to go back to "normal"..just take care of yourself and don't do anything crazy.
