I think that line is crazy. The mets should be favored to win this game. As you know from my previous question, i have guaranteed a win for game 6 tonight.
MIracles happen for the Mets, esp at Shea Stadium ( best park ever)

mr.danger - true david wright is in a bit of a slump, but he came up with a big hit in the 8th to get them into position. please dont even consider putting him into the a-rod camp.

That line sounds about right to me. I'm also going with my hometown team.....the Cardinals!!
You have the reigning NL Cy Young winner Chris Carpenter who went 15-8 in the regular season with the second lowest ERA and who had 2 great October outings so far going against John Maine who was a lousy 6-5 struck only 71 with a 3.60 ERA. There is no question on which pitcher is better. Expect the Mets to get to their bullpen very early.
The Cardinals team you are seeing in October is a totally different team than what they were in August and September (figuratively speaking). The lineup is just as good as the Mets'. The Mets have been plagued with injuries to Pedro, El Duque, Cliff Floyd, etc, and even though the Cardinals haven't escaped the injury bug, its less apparent and manageable.
The Mets have been absolutely HORRIBLE with runners in scoring position and I'm pretty confident that that statement won't change after tonight's game.
With the victory of tonights game against the Mets, the Cardinals will be advancing to the World Series!!! Go Cards!!

The only way the Mets will win tonight is a miracle in Game 6 worthy of being a sequel to 1986. Carpenter is not going to have two bad outings in a row and the Mets bats showed Game 4 was a fluke by having a pretty crappy Game 5.

6:5 is slightly better than flipping a coin. Given the Mets lack of clutch hitting and the fact that the Cards have their ace on the mound those odds actually seem a bit low.
btw What's going on with david wright ?has anyone seen a-rod rubbing up against him ?

Cards got it. I am a huge St. Louis fan. I have to represent the home state. Good luck with your guarantee. The Mets do have a chance but they are facing our starter, Carpenter. Weaver (our rookie) stepped all over their vetern (Glavin) last night. It is baseball- so anything can happen. I look foward to a good game. Good luck to you and your Mets.

Carpenter worries me. We are going to have to get to him early. Mayne worries me more, god I hate the Cardinals.
