I've just revieved my tacho card, has anyone started using one yet? Is it easy? And why the hell is it only valid for 5 years? How does Gordon Brown sleep at night?

Only tacho cards I use are in my lorry to record my speed and what breaks I have. Didn't know there were any other types.

yes is easy to use any vehicle fitted with digital taco should have a printer so you can also print out your activites for the day.Your traffic office should also have the software to download the information as after 28 days it starts to overwrite from day one.Mr Brown thinks all us truck drivers are his money tree licence renewal every five years after you reach 45 what a joke

I know this doesn't answer your question but it just brought back some great memories.....I worked as a tachograph reader about 17 years ago - great job apart from having to report the violations

Is this for driving - I think they are supposed to be to get the hang of but get easy to use over time.

as an agency driver i refuse to get one until some company issists on me having it and then they can pay for the blessed thing
