No. But I'm a stay at home mom, so I guess I don't count. But when I did work, I did not have to wear pantyhose. I think it depends on what part of the country you live in. I'm in AZ and work clothing is way more relaxed here than it was where I grew up (PA).

If you have a professional job and you want to look impressive Yes either pantihose, stockings or thigh highs. Try stockings with a garterbelt if Pantihose is not your thing, and vintage stockings sold on ebay.
If you have great legs
you'll look great and all put together and who knows maybe you'll get noticed enough at the office to get promoted
bare legs are not acceptable in an office environment

It's inappropriate to be required to wear pantyhose - actually it is sexist. I once had a job that stated women were to wear skirts or dresses no trousers slacks or jeans - I reported them to NOW (National Organization for Women)and they helped me get the rule changed - this was especially important since it was a state that had long winters and skirts are not that warmth providing. There are guidelines but jobs cannot write rules that are obviously sexist. (unless of course its a "gentleman's" club-then you are on your own)

It depends upon the kind of office you work in and what their code is, if it's business casual, you could probably get away with trouser socks with trousers, etc. If it is professional, probably not. Not to state the obvious, but look around you at what your co-workers are wearing, in most cases, you'll be okay if you follow suit. If you are a telecommuter...or work from your home...lol...work in your pajamas...:-)

It depends on where you work. Some places require them if it is a very professional environment. if you don't like wearing panty hose, try trouser socks when you wear pants. They are much more comfortable!

No and I am happy about it. I usually just wear some nice pointy toes with the ankle strap to set my outfits off.
