Good luck with this one! I have a friend who is married to a very intelligent (book smart) person and yet she has to check everything for him all of the time. Example: before he leaves for work she checks to see what he is wearing to make sure he has remembered to zip his pants, put on matching shoes, etc. One night as they were laying in bed she heard a noise and asked him what it could be and after awhile he jumped up and said that he must have forgotten to turn the car off when he drove into the garage from work. He has even forgotten luggage at the airport when he has gone on business trips. LOL
I know this isn't an answer but, at least you know that you are not alone!

Stress and depression do this to me.
I drove all the way to work last Thursday morning before I remembered that I needed to drive my 17-year-old son to school. As a result, I missed a meeting and an appointment to have some blood drawn.
About two years ago, I put the dirty laundry in the trash and was on my way to put the trash in the washing machine before I realized what I was doing.
I make my worst mistakes when I have more to do than I can handle. When I can remember to slow down a little and think at each change of focus, instead of flying headlong through the day, I do a lot better.

Being preoccupied with some weighty issue or some issue at home could be causing that kind of situation. The best way to find out, is to sit down and have a little talk about it!
Good luck with helping to fix this!

My mom has that problem with my dad. He forgets things all the time. Last month, he lost his wallet, and it was in their bedroom floor!! Give him ginko tablets. Make him eat fish and popcorn. Hope it helps.

He should do activities that exercise the brain, like reading. I think eating nuts like peanust and almonds help with memory as well

Probably becuase you are constantly in his ear nagging him about something. He cannot possible remember all of your overbearing demands. give the guy a break. Your rugrat is probably the same way.

is it possible that your husband needs some official testing for his forgetfulness? If, God forbid, its something serious like Alzheimer's Disease, you want to know that as soon as possible!
Good luck
