Being a foster child thats been in over 30 foster homes yes I do long for a totaly different childhood not only the grandparent thing but the parent thing as well.Don't get me wrong as bad as ive had it there are still many that has had it even harder then I. We can wish to change time but that would require a time machine. Im a great believer that our life circumstances has molded us to be stronger individuals. I hope I answered your question and it might have helped you in some way. Lift your head up and smile rain or shine it will make another persons otherwiser rainy day into a sunny day.

Sure, I miss the times I had with my grandparents, friends, peers, etc. On a psychological level, however, I also miss the innocence of my childhood. Thinking back to my childhood years, I feel that they were the most pleasant because I had very little knowledge of all the pain and frustration that most people almost inevitably experience growing up.

i am not complaining about my life now cos i`m happy enough.Istill live in the same place (different house)and a lot of the same people are about . But i have to admit i sometimes feel nostalgic for the old days .I had a happy childhood i didn`t have much in the way of material things but then neither did my friends .but life was so simple after school great gangs of us used to play games on the field and hide and seek in the woods yes life was good back then

Sometimes I do. I had such a happy childhood and the memories are lovely. I had a moment of longing this summer when I went back home to Ohio and drove past my old family home (my parents had just sold it). My life right now is great though and I want to give my little girl a fantastic childhood like I had.

yes definately to a point, childhood is so much more fun, lack of responsibilities, playing with toys and so many exciting occasions are centred aroung children, e.g xmas (Father christmas, waking up my parents and jumping on their bad in the wee hours of christmas morning) easter (easter bunny trail). But the one thing I wouldn't want to go back to is school, I detested it and not being able to join my family On New Years Eve parties in clubs/pubs etc was a real downer as well although these days many parents seem to get away with having their kids running around by the bar in a pub.

Sometimes I will see, touch, hear, or smell something that will remind me of childhood and I will long to go back to that time for a few seconds. It is wonderufl having those memories, but I don't long to do go back again. I enjoy my life as an adult with my beautiful daughter.

Yeah definitely, when your a kid you have unlimited energy, you can just meet someone and claim them as you best friend, you can eat disgusting things with out getting weird looks, everything is black or white and makes sense, you believe in Santa and fairies, men are not an issue, if your lucky your blissfully happy and dont yet know of "bad" things...

Not me, I had a horrible childhood and much prefer the life I have now, having too much fun and enjoying my life to go back there.
