Do you know what is really sad? That it is 2006 and we are still having racial issues. Its bad enough that it was an issure centuries ago, but it has to stop. I look as white as white can get. But I have many nationalities in my blood. No one is purely white, black, hispanic etc. So many people have ancestors with mixed races running through their blood that when someone is being racist, they are also critisizing themselves.
What is the benefit of hurting someone with a different skin color? What did it actually accomplish making a crude comment like that?
Is this how we want our children to act, believe or be? Not me, I want my children to be cautious of the evil people in the world, but GOD made us all the same. We are the human "RACE" he only made different colors on people to fit their region in the world. We all shed red blood, we all have hearts, lungs, livers, bladdars, feet, arms, legs, fingers etc.... I hope my children will continue to love people for their interesting lives and not by their color. I am proud to raise my children that way.
Love is color blind.

For some reason Latinos have always been regarded as foreigners. No matters if the can trace their generations back to a couple hundreds of years. The face of America is changing and stereotypical views of what is to be an American must change. There should be more education to this respect, so people start viwing people of color as real Americans

Yes it's a racist comment.
I really don't like what some people are saying about black people here. I'll admit that there is a double standard, but it doesn't extend this far. I'm not particularly looking for special treatment and neither is anyone that I know. I'm sorry that the double standard exists, but the world is imperfect and people should learn to deal and not be bitter. Black people are or should be held to the same standards as anyone else. We certainly hold ourselves to them.

Yes, I do think that was very racist. Where are they going to go if they were born here. His ignorance automatically assumed because they were not caucasian that they should be somewhere else. Not only did he show he was a racist when he opened his mouth, but he showed his ignorance.

no It is not racist. But he is showing his ignorance. He has too much nationalism and disrespect for others.
If he had said the same thing to a black person would that be racist?
that's how you know if it is racist or not, If I can say the same thing to a person of the same racist and have that comment not make sense.

yes, that definitly is. if everyone were to "go back where they came from", there would hardly be any people in the US, and the country would fall apart without the help of all the races and religions living in it. there would only be native indian americans living here.

You know what is so funny to me.We black people think everything anyone that isn't black does,or says to us is racist. It's just ridiculous that we think it okay if we say racist comments to anybody we want to.We are just messed up sometimes. This whole racism will never end,its with blacks ,whites ,asians, hispanics. It's everyone.People even discriminater their own race if you are fat or skinny or what color your hair is,or your sexual preference.Im sorry i went a little off topic its just that i get so enreged when this subject is brought up.

many people who have experienced being treated in a racist way never make the effort to overcome it.
instead, they take the easy way out by passing it on to someone else.
the same process often applies in cases of physical or sexual abuse, similarly for sub-standard parenting.
