When it is out of the case and in use, use a locking cable or similar device to make it difficult for someone to walk off with it.
If you have to leave it in a car, etc, be sure that it is in the truck and out of sight.
When traveling with it, do NOT use a standard computer carrying case. But the laptop in something that is not so obviously a computer. Use a regulat backpack, or a large cloth/canvas bag. Reduce the chance people will realize it is a computer.

All of the above plus I saw a package called Lowjack for Laptops at the Apple Store. Apparently it's a service that will track your computer if it's stolen and then used on the net. I know it doesn't prevent theft, but it may help with recovery.

-cable lock
-lock your user screen
-use a fingerprint scan
-write your serial # and IP address (if it ever shows up on line)
-create a desktop remote control(if it shows up on online you can see what the thief is doing)
