Contrary to what they told you in high school, there is no real "permanent record" of your life.

But if you're looking for wages earned by year, you need to step down to your local Social Security office. And wear comfortable shoes and bring a book, you'll be standing in line and waiting a lonnnnng time.

If you got to your local social security office, They will have it there- They might charge you a fee but if you look it up online you can avoid the long lines!

Go the Job Dept. Office near you live and with your social security number they can tell you.

the social security department sends out a report periodically to you when you reach a certain age. they may send one to you by request.

If all your work was legit, in other words, documented, you can get it from SSA.
