EDIT: Just to clarify here, I do understand the difference between circumsized and not. I was looking for some kind of biological reason why it had to be that shape... but clearly there isn't one

Depends on where you're born. In the States, baby boys are circumzised. In england, baby boys aren't. So, the shape of the penis tip looks differant. Personally I've noticed american willies to look quite similar to mushroom tops...hence the name "mushroom stamp"...hehe.

For a womans pleasure and for the guys, it's the most sensetve part, plus it helps you pee and orgasm. Anyway it'd look kinda weird just rounded off.

It is designed to give a woman pleasure. The ridge on the head is designed to hit the womans G spot. I suspose you could have surgery to remove the head if it bothers you.

easier to penetrate with. well it would be difficult and painful if it was just square with sharp corners... ouch. the fore skin was for as well when people walked around naked to protect it a bit. it would not be nice to catch your foreskin on a thron but it would be even worse to catch the tip of your penis on a thorn

It comes from the fact that in the US we still Mutilate our infant male childrens genitals with out anistetic. (circumcision) Normally what you reffer to as the "head" is an internal gland covered by the foreskin. As for haveing the most nerve endings? well, there were actually more in the foreskin before it was removed. Thanks mom....

Its so it would easily slide inside the woman....... and also to project the sperm effeciently. Almost all creatures have the same shape for easy penetration.
