If the turn signal is inoperative, you need a bulb or a fuse. If the blinker makes a ticking noise or works sporadically, you may have a hazard switch problem. If it's the fuse, you should find the fuse panel on the drivers side of the dashboard- open the door and look on the flat panel of the dash directly below the A pillar. If it's a bulb, good luck replacing it yourself. Audi bulbs are notoriously hard to get to, and make sure you don't touch the glass part of the bulb, the oils from your fingers will blow the bulb out and then you're right back where you started!

When you turn the signal on, if the indicator lights up, go outside the car and check for burned out bulbs front and rear. Check this with the signal turned on. If the bulbs are OK, replace the flasher. Usually it's in the fuse box.
If the indicator does not light up, check the fuse. If the fuse is OK.
take it to a qualified tech to check for wiring or switch problems.
Hope this helps.

smack it a few times on the top of the hood and then again on the side where the light meets the metal.
I know, that doesnt answer your question but it might fix the problem.
And fuses arent that much money, you could always just go get a few and try it.
I wont change the bulb myself, thats what men are for.

Turn on your right turn signal, you may need to have the key on, check if rear turn signal is working.
If so it should be flashing faster than normal. This would indicate flasher is working, a bad bulb.
Turn signals don't have individual fuses on each bulb.
