Must just be the ones you select.
The "Liberal Media" is a neocon ruse. Ain't no such thing, they go with the Republicans big time. There are some things they can't keep a lid on, like Foley, but to portray the Con-stricted media as liberal is paranoia run wild.

I believe it's because US media, like US politics, are farther right than they have been historically. As evidence, check out John Dean's book, Conservatives Without Conscience. Or, read about Barry Goldwater, a once famous Republican, who would today be seen as a liberal. Maybe Europe didn't change as much as we did. I also think our mainstream media tries hard not to offend people-especially the far right because they are very loud!
Thirty years ago, I was a moderate and I haven't become more liberal-but any tests today would put me far left, I bet. As a matter of fact, there were a number of things about Republicans that I admired-fiscal conservatism, value of privacy & constitutional rights-which are no longer part of today's party.

Research Project/Operation Mockingbird. The formerly-free press (media) in America has been in bed with the USG and the powers that be for years. The 'liberal' lean is a simple distraction, as there are as many conservative thinking outlets as there are liberal. Either way, the USG control what information is released, and pays handsomely for compliant and complacent media to go along. Hence, I get my news from overseas sources, back channels and my own observations (living in NYC helps).

What print media are you reading that is giving you this impression? Could you elaborate a little on this? The print media I read seems liberal but not left-leaning.

The underlying principal of liberalism is maximizing liberty, while the underlying philosophical principal of conservatism is preserving what already works. The media is deeply dependent upon its liberty to act in the open. Likewise, it is often looking to turn over the status quo. Therefore liberalism is the most natural fit.

because the media is liberal just look at time and newsweek, they show anti-America propaganda to foreign countries and give us a magazine with a happy mom and kids on the cover.
