I have my masters in art therapy and want to get a teaching position instead of pursueing counseling, is certification required in Ma and CT?

The general answer is YES- However, any particular school system may hire you if they wish, usually with the understanding that you will work toward teacher certification. A master's has nothing to do with it . It could eventually get you more pay but you need the necessary ed courses to become certified and so many credits in any particular field that you want to be certified in. Mass-achusetts is quite stringent. I don't know about Ct.

Yes. You have to be certified to teach in MA & CT.
