I have a number of friends with some pretty bad allergies, so...
Vacuum a lot, and use a good vacuum cleaner.
Use a slightly-dampened cloth to dust: That way the dust will catch and stick to the cloth instead of getting kicked back into the air.
Minimize the carpetting and other fuzzy things in your home if you can: That way dust won't be attracted readily.
Consider using an air-cleaner.
Good luck!

Do your dusting after you vacuum as a vacuum has the tendency to move the dust in the air and some of the dirt that it picks up back into the air.

Dont clean your dryer screen off in an open part of the house, this creates alot of dust and change your filter screen on your air conditioner every month, they cost about $.99 and this eliminates ALOT of dust from your home.

make sure you filters are new, and prehaps look into having someone clean your blower.
I hear that ionizers are pretty good
