Can you tell me why I should not be outraged to find out that my son and his fellow military personnel are receiving the lowest 2.2 percent pay raise for their efforts in Iraq, and yet the grand ol' body in Congress passes a hidden expense of $20 million for a 2007 Victory party for the successes in Afghanistan and Iraq? How do people feel about this and what should be done?

That's our spend-like-there's-no-tomorrow congress.
It's certainly a slap in the face to your son and the other military personnel who were sent to those hell-holes.
Good luck to your son.
What should be done? Vote 'em out.

Hang 'em! D:< I've lost friends in these stupid wars, and all their family's get is a burial. Why should these fat-cat Congressmen get to party on the blood of Americans? So much for checks and balances.

I'm outraged by the whole mess, but what can we do? Washington is corrupt and this Iraq thing proves how selfcentered the stuffed shirts are who are sending our nations' sons to their deaths so they can play their power games.
